The work placement period – test run for starting your career

Between the first and third year of the Bachelor’s degree, you spend a work experience phase of around 4 months at a company in Germany or abroad. On the Master’s degree you can use Semester 4 for a work placement period at a company, or write your thesis on a topic from professional practice in co-operation with a company.

This way you get an insight into the professional opportunities available to someone with your qualifications. You benefit from the expert advice of our Career Service and have access to our comprehensive database with placement reports and addresses from all over the world.

Your personality training – make a good impression

In co-operation with renowned partners such as MLP AG and Horbach Wirtschaftsberatung, our Careers Service organises personality training sessions to ease your way through the job application process, help you plan your career and ultimately enter the business world. This covers job application, assessment centre training, personality tests, and individual feedback dialogues.

Consulting projects – by students for businesses

Our lecturers and students represent a large pool of expertise in all kinds of areas. Companies benefit from this know-how at HIM within the framework of consulting projects. Students work out solutions for business clients in collaboration with their professors or lecturers. The consulting projects provide the ideal opportunity for them to develop skills subsequently required in the workplace.
