Double accreditation – international recognition

In developing our study programme, it was our goal to be able to award our graduates degrees that qualify them for direct entry to jobs, are valued by companies all over the world, and enjoy strong national and international recognition.

Double accreditation by the FIBAA and the OUVSThe Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at HIM have been accredited by the FIBAA - Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation in accordance with the requirements of the German system of higher education. In addition, they have been validated by The British Open University (OU) in the United Kingdom. This accreditation documents the fact that the degrees meet the demanding standards for higher education at universities and colleges in Great Britain set by the independent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). This double accreditation forms the basis for the double degree that you earn at the end of your course. Double accreditation by the FIBAA and the OUVS

Having become accredited, HIM was awarded the status of an ‘Approved Institution’ by The Open University as an appropriare organisation to offer higher education programmes leading to Open University validated awards. All HIM degrees bear the ‘Open University Validated Award’ seal of approval. The British degree that you earn at HIM is therefore equal to a degree earned at a British university. As an associated facility of The Open University, HIM is part of a network of colleges all over the world.

For the accreditation procedure, HIM had to prove that all processes pertaining to teaching and service provision for students are supervised by a quality management system. The examinations at HIM take place under the supervision of and in cooperation with external examiners in order to monitor adherence to the required academic and quality standards.
